William Morris drew Strawberry Thief in 1883 after the thrushes that raided the fruit beds at his Kelmscott Manor kitchen garden. It became his most loved design, and more than a century later it is still the print people recognise instantly — birds, strawberries and a dense tangle of foliage, all held in perfect symmetry.

This is the softest reading of it we have made. A slate blue ground, blooms in blush and ivory, foliage in pale sage and dove grey. Where the Forest colourway is dark and formal, this one is quiet and warm — a tie that sits easily against grey, navy and stone morning suits without ever disappearing into them.

Cut in genuine Liberty silk rather than Tana Lawn cotton. The dye sits deeper on silk and the cloth carries a low lustre that shifts as you move. It knots smaller and denser than our cotton ties and holds a dimple without coaxing.

Modern width, 3 inches at the blade — slim enough to sit properly under a modern jacket, wide enough to carry the pattern.
